Her Wicked Marquess by Stacy Reid

Image
This is the second book in the Sinful Wallflowers series. Her Wicked Marquess by Stacy Reid My rating: 5 of 5 stars Loved, loved, loved, loved this so much. I went through every emotion reading this one. The beginning was fun/funny, pulling off a prank on the tons mean girl and our couples introduction to each other. Maryann and Nicholas have great banter. Miss Maryann Fitzwilliam is not the usual lady of the ton. She has an opinion and she's not afraid to give it. This has made finding a husband impossible. Her parents have arranged for her to marry a man almost as old as her father. So she decides to do something sinful to get out of the arrangement. The next morning when the scandal sheet reports seeing Nicolas Ives climbing out of the chamber windows of a house party, Maryann does something unimaginable. She claims that the bedchamber belonged to her, hoping it is enough to end the unwanted union her family has pushed her into. The Marquess of Rothbury has intentionally cr...

A Duchess A Day by Charis Michaels

Image
A Duchess a Day by Charis Michaels My rating: 4 of 5 stars Finally, I'm here to write my review. While I did enjoy this book, I did have a hard time getting through some of the middle last chapters. I put it aside a few times to review other books and I was feeling a little overwhelmed. Once out of my funk I was finally able to finish this forbidden romance. Lady Helena Lark has been trying for years to get out of her arranged marriage. She is finally packed off to London in order to keep an eye on her. But she has plans of her own, to find a more suitable replacement to become the duchess. Declan Shaw better known as "The Huntsman", is a mercenary. His last job landed him in jail under false accusations. This is the last job he wants but he is promised an end to his legal troubles if he gets the lady down the aisle. The last thing either was expecting was the attraction building between them. Thank you to the publisher for this ARC to review review to come later ...

Her Reluctant Highlander Husband by Allison B. Hanson

Image
Her Reluctant Highlander Husband by Allison B. Hanson My rating: 5 of 5 stars A great addition to the Clan MacKinlay series. I was really looking forward to Bryce's story and it did not disappoint. I really liked Dorie, even though she was wary of her new surroundings she was still a strong woman. There were a few scenes that left me watery-eyed. But it all worked into a surprising HEA. Since the original war chief can no longer marry the McCurdy laird's daughter the responsibility now falls on him. Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London

Image
Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London My rating: 5 of 5 stars Okay, I was expecting something light and fluffy, there are some light moments but this one got me right in the feels. Audrey Miller has lived in Kissing Creek her whole life with more responsibility than most women her age. She works two jobs supporting herself and her younger siblings. Her main goal to get them to college and out of their small town. Ronan Walsh is the new young professor who she mistakes for a student. She utters something embarrassing about the hot guy ordering coffee and is sure he is only posing as a faculty member for the discount. This whole scene is silly cute. Both are not looking for love but will they be able to avoid it? Thanks so much to Entangled and NetGalley for this ARC to review. View all my reviews Kissing Les...

Blacklisted by Jay Crownover

Image
This book was sent to me by the publisher. I really enjoyed it, its suspense helped fulfill my need for something with a little more. I also hadn't and still haven't read anything spooky for the fall season.  The publisher also sent me some Sandra Brown mysteries which I'm hoping to start soon. I've got a few ARCs to finish first. My review:  Blacklisted (Loveless, Texas #3) by   Jay Crownover   (Goodreads Author) Alicia 's review Oct 27, 2020   ·    edit it was amazing This was my first Jay Crownover book and I'm now officially a new reader/fan. This is the third book in the Loveless, TX series but it can be read as a standalone. I love Shot and Presley so much. I loved the chemistry they shared and how drawn they were to each other. This also wasn't just a romance novel, Shot is the president of the Sons of Sorrow MC, dealing with someone wanting revenge and Presley is dealing with a former best friend who became unhinged when she was passed ove...
