This time, he’s had a woman removed from the Norse afterlife and placed her right in the path of Bjorn Knutson. After the slaughter of his wife and family centuries ago, tortured and broken, Bjorn was cursed as the first Norse werewolf. Now he’s been tasked by Odin himself with killing the woman who escaped. Failure is not an option. Before he can track her, he stumbles across a woman being accosted by three men in the middle of the night.   Burning Ash by N.J. Walters My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! This latest instalment of the Forgotten Brotherhood does not disappoint! I love the mythology woven into this story and the appearance some of these figures is fun and exciting. Plus we get check-ins from Maccus and Morrigan, to name a few. The story moves fast and is very entertaining. And the steam is of so good. This time around we meet Asher. One of the oldest living vampires created by an Egyptian goddess after his family was killed by vampires. Since then it's been his job to hunt and kill rogue vampires. His name strikes fear among vampires thought to be only a myth to keep young vamps in line. Jo Radcliff is a vampire hunter. Asher finds himself very much attracted to her. She's smart, gorgeous and talented. She reluctantly agrees to work with him in order to figure out who sent them anonymous emails but now someone is trying to kill Jo. Using the Brotherhood to go after her and counting on Asher to protect...

Review: Arctic Bite by N.J. Walters

Arctic Bite by N.J. Walters My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is the second book in the Forgotten Brotherhood Series. And it is just as good as the first book. Only Alexei Medvedev isn't a fallen angel, he's a polar bear shifter and something else. He's tracked his next target Cassandra Dobbs, to a remote Alaskan town, to gather as much information as possible before taking the assignment. And he can't quite figure out why someone has put a bounty on her head. On top of that, he finds himself attracted to the target. When another paranormal walks into the bar where Cassie works attempting to collect on her bounty, Alexei is overcome with the need to protect her from this immortal being. Knowing reapers are on their way to collect the deceased being Cassie urges Alexei to run with her before she is discovered. The book was fast-paced, especially those action scenes. I enjoyed the scenes where Alexei and Cassandra are getting to know each other. The introduction of...

Review: Fury Unleashed by N.J. Walters

my screenshot Fury Unleashed by N.J. Walters My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book was so good! Maybe I biased cause I love angels, fallen one too sometimes. But it's much more than that. Here's the professional blurb: Maccus Fury, a fallen angel, is trying hard to keep his sanity. Seems being an assassin might be catching up with him. Now, Heaven, or Hell, has sent a beautiful assassin to kill him. Lovely. She’s pretending to seduce him, and he’s okay with that. She’s smart and snarky––but she has no idea what she’s walked into. And he’s more than peeved that they only sent one person. They’re going to need an army if they want him dead. Morrigan Quill is one of Hell’s bounty hunters. She sold her soul to keep her sister safe, and now she’s working off her contract by catching bad guys and dragging them back to hell. Just a hundred years to go. When Hades makes her a new offer––that’s definitely too good to be true––she can’t say no. All she has to do is kill a powerf...
