Splendeur Caisse

So this was last week's progress on the new blanket  I got a little further but had to stop. I ran out of the yarn I was working with. Now I need to order the yarn I need and wait for it to get here. So I've put this project aside until the yarn I need arrives. I did start another blanket. Different pattern and type of yarn Here's a peek I really like how it's turning out. I'll share more pictures of my progress next week. xo Alicia

Why you ask?  Oh, because I started a new crochet project. A blanket all for me! It's someting I've always wanted to do I just hadn't found the right pattern. Here it is in the beginning stages. Like my jammies background? IT's a simple wave pattern and I'm using Lion Brand's Jiffy yarn. So it will definitely be soft, warm and a winter blanket. I've worked more rows since I took this picture. Yay! I'm excitement! xo Alicia

So Friday this guy turned 4 years old! My Mom and I took him for lunch at Islands. He was so funny, when we walked in he told the hostess "It's my birthday!" Later our waitress brought out a sundae for him and we sang Happy Birthday. As we walked out of the restaurant he asked, "Is my birthday over?' Silly guy! I also baked a marble cake for him later in the evening. That way all of us sisters and brother could sing Happy Birthday to him! His excitement was too cute! Now that he realizes there is cake involved with birthdays, he is obsessed! Sunday I attended a cousin's wedding but the time change almost kept me home. I was excited to take this picture, I thought outfit post! But I didn't take enough pictures and looking at this picture I look posed and stiff. Why did I hold my arms away from my body? I am totally loving the dress and tights combo though. I need more dresses! haha xo Alicia 

I'm procrastinating! I don't want to take down the Christmas tree, but it's gotta get done today! And I have to get out the post office today! I went last night but the kiosk was down for maintenance :( I forgot to take a picture of the awesome cardigan I made my grandmother for Christmas I still haven't thought out my goals for the year I started a DIY project but have yet to finish it I'm working on a custom order! My first! So that's exciting :) Hopefully blogger will publish this when scheduled buh bye Alicia
