Splendeur Caisse

 I love that as it gets darker earlier I can finally take part in my personal ritual of lighting candles. The votive from above is from my coffee shop days. I took them home when the owner sold the business.  So this some thing so simple to spruce up those clear glass jars. Original I had the black and white tape around another candle. When that one was finished I took my tape back and wanted to reuse it a festive way. So I torn into pieces and made a simple snowflake. Just four pieces of tape. First I made an X , then added one vertically and horizontally. I love the intercepting pattern in the center as well. I'm sure I've seen other tutorials that use washi tape but I don't think I've seen this before. Correct me if I'm wrong please, so I can credit. Here it is! It finally feels like it's coming along. The blanket is folded in half in the picture, cause I couldn't quite get it all in frame. It's about 45 inches wide and 35 inches in length so far. I have about 30-35 inches more to go. xo Alicia

So this was last week's progress on the new blanket  I got a little further but had to stop. I ran out of the yarn I was working with. Now I need to order the yarn I need and wait for it to get here. So I've put this project aside until the yarn I need arrives. I did start another blanket. Different pattern and type of yarn Here's a peek I really like how it's turning out. I'll share more pictures of my progress next week. xo Alicia

source Cute Valentine stamp idea! My most recent work in progress was finishing up my Blythe Valentine's Swap. I made this cute little pinafore dress. And added this polka dot ribbon to fasten it in the back. The swap package wouldn't have been complete without heart pillows! Had alot of fun putting this package together, I hope swap partner likes them. xo Alicia
