Tough Days....

Image
I had quite a few tough days leading up to the end of Mercury Retrograde. And even a few days after that. The energies going around were pretty heavy. I pulled a muscle or hurt my sciatic and haven't been able to move my body (exercise) the way I like. And that left me feeling mildly depressed. It might be time to start the pilates back up till I get myself to the chiropractor. The only upside to all this is the sleep/rest that my body has been getting. xo Alicia

Let's Promise...

Oops this last one came out blurry. I missed out on adding elements to the black out poems. Maybe I'll go back and do that later. I haven't decided. xo Alicia

I Am Free...

TAJ31 prompts have been keeping me busy this month. I realize it's only 10 days in, but this is the most writing I've done in quite some time. That might because every night I'm journaling in another journal about one thing I'm grateful for, some thing usually from that day. It helps me to notice the little things that I normally over look. xo Alicia

Dare to Leave Doubt...

Yesterday's word for #TAJ31 was Embrace.  Yesterday my family lost an aunt. My Father's sister. It was sudden. It is sad. She lived a full live, raised children, saw grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, even great nieces and nephews. I'm embracing that she has left us and take comfort in knowing that she no longer has to suffer human aliments and that her parents (my grandparents) were there to embrace her on the other side. Now time to embrace an un-traditional shiva. xo Alicia

I Am Open To.....

Thanksgiving is almost here! Where have these last few weeks of the year gone? Tonight I start all the meal prep for tomorrow and slow baking the turkey. Yum! There are plenty of things I'm feeling grateful this year. I intend to find a warmly lit corner to curl into and create a few Mandalas especially to express the wholeness I'm feeling. I have a few ideas swirling about as well, that I need to sit with and decide how to move forward with. Intention was/is my word for the year and I'm feeling like it is finally coming into play now. Lighting candles now. xo Alicia

I Have A Purpose...

Image
There has been quite a bit of growth going on over here. All month especially with the The Art Journaler's theme this month of " Inviting Growth ." I made it a point to write out the questions/prompts that were given, in my written journal. That helped me see the parts from the past that I was still hanging on to. And that made it easier to  release these obstacles. Gearing up for November. xo Alicia
