What I Read December 2020

Image
Whew... I wasn't sure I would make my reading goal for 2020. I started to feel a little slumpy and my reading speed slowed down. Christmas novellas definitely helped me reach my goal. Honestly, novellas help me every month. They also feel like a palate cleanser between books. And sometimes I just need something quick and steamy. So I read a total of 23 books. 10 ARCs 10 KU- kindle unlimited   2 PB- paperbacks   1 e-book   1 audio I am really missing Audible Escape. Having AE meant I usually read at least four more books a month. I tried Audible Plus free trial but I had a hard time even finding something I wanted to read. So I'll just take a break from audio for a while. Off to read. xo Alicia

Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was a good family holiday read. All of the sisters are likable and I enjoyed each of their storylines. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. Three sisters come together to visit their aunt for one last Christmas at the Juniper Inn. They haven't seen their aunt in nearly fifteen years and nothing can keep them away. Each sister is dealing with something and the chance to spend time together with their Aunt Sassy sounds like the perfect way to escape their worries. Dahlia's children are spending their first Christmas with their Dad and his new girlfriend. Magnolia needs some space from her husband, their last attempt at IVF failed and it's all putting a strain on their marriage. Rose is about to get married. Her fiance seems distant and she might be getting cold feet. Being together helps them strengthen their sisterly bond and Sassy's light meddling have them realizing...

This one is part of the Capricorn Cove series. Collins and Nicholas have been married for almost ten years but living apart. Now Collins wants a baby, so she goes to Nicholas to ask for IVF or give her a divorce. Nicolas has another idea, her and him and a bed. And he has no plans to let her go again. If you want something a little naughty this one might be for you.  Two couples who are best friends and have been inseparable until Bonnie and Logan move away to New York.  Ava and Max are flying into Manhattan to spend Christmas with their friends.  They used to joke that they'd all end up in bed together and now the fantasy is set to become reality. Home for the Holidays by Lucy Darling My rating: 5 of 5 stars Fun quick read So good! It was hard to put down. Ugh... I loved Logan so much. One look at her and he's a goner. Angel is just sunshine sweet. The steamy scenes were pretty steamy. Definitely pick this up if you're looking for something quick and ...
