I can’t breathe. I feel like air isn’t getting to my lungs and on top of that, I’m getting harder by the second in my slacks. She’s this insanely gorgeous siren sitting in front of me begging me to kiss her. Love her. But what if she wants more? “One kiss, Stassia.” I give in, much to my own disappointment. I’m not drunk, but the whiskey flooding my veins is making me hornier than usual and all I want is to pull her into my lap and kiss her until the sun rises. “Really?” Her eyes clear from the unshed tears and I nod. “You know this changes...things.” “Things have already changed,” she w

Review: RomeAntically Challenged by Marina Adair

Click the image above to order! I'm an associate now so if you order from this link I make a little commission. Romeantically Challenged by Marina Adair My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow... I'm still crying a little as I write this. What an unexpected surprise this book was. There were some heartbreaking moments, frustrating moments (that ex-fiance), and sweet moments. While these two characters were attracted to one another, it was ultimately the time they spent together getting to know each other better that had them falling in love. Annie needed to get away from her old life, ex-fiance broke up with her weeks before the wedding only to turn around and find his person, right after their break-up. Needing a fresh, man-free start she applies for a position in Rome, only it turns out to be Rome, Rhode Island, not Italy. A few weeks into her new life, she unexpectedly finds herself stuck with a roommate, a sexy roommate who owns the cabin she's staying in. Emmitt is home

Mountain Mercenaries 7 Book Series by Susan Stoker

Image
After working my way through a few ARCs, I needed a little bit of a palate cleanser. I had heard this novella, Securing Brenae, from this author on the Read Me Romance podcast. You can still listen to it on the podcast. I grabbed the first book in the Mountain Mercenaries series and couldn't stop myself from devouring the whole series over the last seven days or so.   My Goodreads review here Ever since his rescue op off the Pacific Coast, Mountain Mercenary Gray Rogers hasn’t been able to forget his latest “job” — Allye Martin. Any other woman would have panicked during a rescue, but the wily dancer kept her cool — even after being kidnapped by an elusive human trafficker. And Gray couldn’t be happier when a grateful Allye follows him home to Colorado Springs… For Allye, finding sanctuary in the arms — and bed — of the former Navy SEAL is only temporary. People are disappearing off the streets of San Francisco, victims of the same underground trade that targeted her, and

The Townsbridges, Book 3 Historical Regency Romance Date Published: July 21, 2020 He knows he ought to forget her… When William Townsbridge returns from Portugal and meets Eloise Lamont, the new cook his mother has hired, he’s instantly smitten. The only problem of course is that she’s a servant – completely off limits for a gentleman with an ounce of honor. But as they become better acquainted, William starts to realize he must make Eloise his. The only question is how. Eloise loves her new position. But William Townsbridge’s arrival threatens everything, from her principles to her very heart. Falling for her employer’s son would be monumentally stupid. All it can lead to is ruin, not only for the present, but for her entire future. So then the simplest solution would be to walk away. But can she?
