Review: My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid

Image
My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid My rating: 5 of 5 stars LOVED, LOVED, LOVED! Kitty and her friends (the sinful Wallflowers) decide to take matters into their own hands after a few seasons of being ignored by the eligible bachelors of the ton. Now her family is facing financial ruin and she'll do anything to save them. Kitty resolves to spread the rumor that she is engaged to the reclusive Duke of Thornton, in order to secure strong matches for her sisters. No one has heard from the Duke in years and hopefully, he'll never find out before her sisters' weddings. Kitty finds herself suddenly invited to all the important gatherings, everyone eager to meet her mysterious .fiancƩ. When the Duke suddenly appears, curious to meet the woman claiming to be his fiancƩ. Where has Stacy Reid been all my life? This was my first novel from her and I couldn't get enough. I really loved these characters Alexander was stoic and Kitty was endearing. They had great chemistry and banter. I

Review: The Beast of Beswick

Image
The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard My rating: 5 of 5 stars Loved, loved, loved! Lady Astrid Everleigh has to find a way to keep her younger sister out of the hands of the man who ruined her prospects of a good marriage over ten years ago. She only sees one way to prevent this from happening. For her to marry the Duke of Beswick also known as the Beast of Beswick. He's terribly scarred, angry, grumpy and a recluse. But can she get him to agree? Thane and Astrid share fun banter that I loved. They try to protect themselves from falling in love with the other. He's certain that she'll leave because everyone does. She doesn't want to be fooled again like she was in the past. I loved Thane. I loved Astrid. This is one to add to your collection. Review: Seduced by the Soldier by Melia Alexander

Image
Seduced by the Soldier by Melia Alexander My rating: 4 of 5 stars Seduced by a Soldier is a fun quick read. There is plenty of adventure and banter, that you never get bored. Zandra York just got her first big break photographing for a major magazine. She's never travelled out of the country before but her brother Jackson is on his way to act as her guide. But when her brother's best friend Special Forces instructor Blake Monroe steps off the plane instead, she knows this will not end well. There isn't anything Blake won't do for his best friend. But babysit Zandra when he's called away on a mission was not on the list. She proves to be far more trouble than he can handle and far too tempting. This was well-written and the story moved smoothly. I was never bored reading this story. I enjoyed their adventures as they travelled to Zandra's photo assignments. The Enforcer by Abigail Owen

The Enforcer by Abigail Owen (Fire’s Edge #3) Published by: Entangled: Amara Publication date: December 9th 2019 Genres: Adult, Paranormal,  Romance Synopsis: Death comes for everyone. Even Drake Chandali. The aging process that twists all unmated dragon shifters’ bodies into something useless has taken hold of his body centuries early. A mate could have reversed the process, but now it’s too late. To protect his team of enforcers, he leaves, and comes face to face with the woman he’d thought was human when he saved her from a fire months before. Except she’s not human. She’s a mate. Camilla Carrillo almost lost her family to wildfire. To discover she’s fated to mate a creature made of flame and rage, and become one herself, should be terrifying. But somehow a rightness settles inside her, especially when she’s around the glowering red dragon shifter who wants nothing to do with her. When Drake learns Cami bears his mark—the same mark as the High King—h

Review: Coldest Fire by Juliette Cross

Image
Coldest Fire by Juliette Cross My rating: 4 of 5 stars Do you love angels? Then this Archangel might leave you feeling very swoony. A little warning though, this book is the third in a series. So I did feel like lost about the war going on in this world. But this book is a stand-alone, so you never truly feel lost. Archangel Uriel has plans to end demon prince Vladek. In order to get close to him, he must fight in the pits of the underworld. And he'll need help----from witch Nadya. But can he trust her? Stepping foot in the underworld is the last thing Nadya wants to do. But she feels the need to help her friends even if it means helping the archangel. I love paranormal, angels, etc, so this book had all the right elements for me to enjoy. This story moved so well that before I knew it, it was done. I don't know what exactly to say with spoiling too much. The action is good. Watching them fall in love is good too. I loved when he finds out Nadya's secret, how his fierc
