Hopeless Romantic by Marina Adler

Image
Hopeless Romantic  (When in Rome #2) by   Marina Adair   A Beautifully Written and Entertaining Romantic Comedy A funny and delightful story from the New York Times bestselling author of the St. Helena Vineyard series that fans of Avery Flynn, Kristan Higgins, and Helena Hunting will love. Set against the breezy backdrop of coastal Rhode Island, bestselling author Marina Adair’s latest novel asks whether two of a small town’s biggest hearts can learn to put themselves first—in the name of love. . . As caregiver for her autistic brother, Beckett Hayes knows how meaningful a little extra help can be when life happens. Which is why she runs Consider It Done, a personal concierge service in her small town. Her job also gives her the flexibility to follow her passion, being Rome, Rhode Island's unofficial special needs advocate, training emotional support companions in her spare time. There's not much of that, though, and certainly not enough for serious dating. It's al...

Home For THe Holidays by Sara Richardson

They haven't seen their aunt in nearly fifteen years and nothing can keep them away. Each sister is dealing with something and the chance to spend time together with their Aunt Sassy sounds like the perfect way to escape their worries. The Duplicate Bride by Ginny Baird

Image
The Duplicate Bride by Ginny Baird My rating: 4 of 5 stars I enjoyed this one. I initially thought this was going to be a little more on the funny side but it was a little more emotional. These two characters are slowly falling in love but they also have this deception between them. And you wonder how these two can make it work. Hope Webb's twin sister Jackie, asks her to switch places for the pre-wedding festivities. Immediately she refuses. There's no way they can pull it off now as adults. The plan is she'll go ahead and make apologies for Jackie but when Brent's grandmother makes a comment that bugs her, and he can't tell she's not Jackie, she makes the decision to pose as Jackie. Besides, It's only for a day. Brent Albright notices the change in his fiancee but is enjoying this different side of her. After their initial doubts his family is finally starting to like her and so is he. So he starts to woo her for real this time., hoping for more tha...

Review: RomeAntically Challenged by Marina Adair

Click the image above to order! I'm an associate now so if you order from this link I make a little commission. Romeantically Challenged by Marina Adair My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow... I'm still crying a little as I write this. What an unexpected surprise this book was. There were some heartbreaking moments, frustrating moments (that ex-fiance), and sweet moments. While these two characters were attracted to one another, it was ultimately the time they spent together getting to know each other better that had them falling in love. Annie needed to get away from her old life, ex-fiance broke up with her weeks before the wedding only to turn around and find his person, right after their break-up. Needing a fresh, man-free start she applies for a position in Rome, only it turns out to be Rome, Rhode Island, not Italy. A few weeks into her new life, she unexpectedly finds herself stuck with a roommate, a sexy roommate who owns the cabin she's staying in. Emmitt is home...

Review: Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge by Debbie Mason

Image
Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge by Debbie Mason My rating: 4 of 5 stars Abby Everhart was living out of her car before discovering that her Great Aunt has left her Honeysuckle Farm in Highland Falls, North Carolina. She plans on putting it on the market to help her get back on her feet. But what she finds is a serious fixer-upper and a man living on the property, who claims her left the property to him. Hunter MacKenzie is an ex-Delta Force soldier hiding away on the place that feels like home since his return from the war. He doesn't want to spend any time with this woman who annoys him. But the more time they spend together makes it harder to deny the spark he feels for her. This was my first Debbie Mason book, and I enjoyed this sweet romance. With the charm of a small Scottish town, who celebrate Highland Games. FYI this has nothing much beyond kissing. And I'm looking forward to Mallory and Gabriel's book. Review: The Book of Second Chances by Katherine Slee

Image
The Book of Second Chances by Katherine Slee My rating: 4 of 5 stars Honestly, I'm not even sure where, to begin with, this book. After the death of her Grandmother, famous author Catriona Robinson, Emily is sent on a scavenger hunt, to find an unpublished manuscript. Otherwise, she risks losing the home she lives in and the rights to her famous book series. Each stop holds clues for the next stop and letters from her Grandmother. But she's not travelling alone. Her Grandmother has tasked a childhood friend to accompany her. Forcing her to exam parts of her past, relive painful parts and learn how to grow from it all. I definitely had to take me time reading this book because there was so much to observe. Ultimately, I was happy that it forced me to slow down and enjoy this book.
