Goals for 2013....

Image
And a look back on last year's goals... Here they are:   * There was better blog prep until there wasn't. The plan was to have them ready to go at least a week in advance.   * I did try new patterns but not as many as I would have liked.   * Unsuccessful! I never once took the sewing machine out.   * I did take more pictures the only bummer was that they were all on my phone. Not what I was aiming for.   Honestly I feel like my goals were lacking. I wasn't really trying to push myself.   Here are this year's:     xo Alicia

My Word for the Year

Image
The yellow part was supposed to say 2013, but I was running low on ink. What a great workbook to turned out to be! I got to reflect on last year and recall my word for 2012. It was Delight. It was a great word but I definitely didn't take the time to put it into practice after a certain point. I totally let it fade away. My word for 2013 is as you saw above: Emerge e·merged , e·merg·ing , e·merg·es To rise from or as if from immersion: Sea mammals must emerge periodically to breathe. To come forth from obscurity: new leaders who may emerge. To become evident: The truth emerged at the inquest. To come into existence. I think taping this word throughout my house will be the best way for me to keep up with my word this year. The possibilities for this New Year are exciting, I'm ready for you 2013! xo Alicia

In mid-March life around here got turned upside down! My Mom was in an accident. Long Story short a woman was turning into a parking space and instead of braking when she saw my Mom and her co-worker, she hit the gas. So my Mom was hospitalized for a little over a month and eventually   lost her right leg (below the knee) while there. To be honest April, May and June were a blur insomnia, stress anxiety and frustration as fill in Mom. So I took a little break in April. My Mom is doing well, Thank God! It surprised me when I looked back, that I was even able to keep blogging. I know that I blogged though as a distraction from all ...
