Wow! What a roller-coaster ride. From beginning to end this book kept me on the edge of my seat. All the things Grey goes through reflect real life and LC, the villain IMO was the worst from the beginning. Every time she interacted with him I had to put the book down and take a breather.

Grey Dalton's life is a mess. First, she suffers through a loss all on her own with no support from her husband. Second, she drinks to numb her loss which leads to her being fired from her dream job. She decides to quit drinking cold turkey and leave her husband. She goes through all the stages of withdrawal while driving to the small town where she purchased a house online.

Her home on Rattlesnake Road offers her a refuge where she can escape her past and build a new life. While working on the house she finds haunting letters and begins to hear noises when she knows she alone in the house.

She's also dealing with two men. One is polished like her soon-to-be-ex and the other is a smexy cowboy. One is bad for her and the other one is just what she needs.
