  These are the other ornaments on the tree. I would love to say that we made these but really they're from the Target dollar section. I assume they were popular because of the price and since we only found three of each. So the tree was looking a little bare. While  reading someone's blog (I forgot who, otherwise I'd give them credit), I came across this DIY Yarn Ornament tutorial, I knew it would fit in perfectly with these cuties. I made three over the weekend and finished up a few more the other night.   xo Alicia

Whoa, such an emotional weekend! That's all I can say because I can't bring myself to talk about it. I started this cowl on Friday night and finished it up Saturday night. It was a special order. I listened to an online show on Hay House radio by Denise Linn and that really got me moving this past weekend. I literally hadn't been feeling any motivation, that show totally turned it around for me. I worked on Unravelling the Year Ahead 2013 a workbook from Susannah Conway. So good! Once I got going the process was great. I learned so many things about myself. I cleaned, something I had been avoiding! There's more cleaning and sorting to be done but it was a great start. I sorted through the junk mail and kept the pieces that will likely be worked into an art journal. I thought up a few different ideas for my handmade journals. I watched Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas. And the season finales of Dexter and Homeland. So good. I made these orn...

 I got to enjoy fresh pomegranate yesterday. I'll probably have some more today. I also found these cuties hanging up when I woke up this morning. I need to get the camera out and take some proper pictures. I've already watched Elf (probably watch it a few more times) and Polar Express, which always has me tearing up at the end. Next on the Christmas movie list Love Actually. Gotta go grab some coffee!   xo Alicia

I'm starting a new quick crochet project today.  It's a free pattern from Bernat (you just have to sign-up to access their patterns) called I'm With the Band Slouchy hat. source I'm crocheting while I watch the rest of  True Blood season 4. When does season 5 come out on DVD? The Christmas lights are up on the house, there are some decorations out, we just need our tree. xo Alicia
