Just wanted to share a some glimpses into the art journal. I stuck to my goal of writing every day in the art journal! Now to think about my goals for next month. It doesn't feel like January flew by yet February will be here Saturday. I'm looking forward to whatever February has in store for me. xo Alicia

Still enjoying this exploration into paint, I finally decided to take. Now I plan to incorporate these into my art journal. And of course to paint more pages into backgrounds. So much fun. xo Alicia

 I love that this art journal is growing so much amd so quickly. The only downside, I guess is that I now have to think about what I'll be using next. Alter a book or another handmade journal. Wahoo! Eight days of actually working in my art journal. I've written, glued, taped, and doodled everyday. It's exciting. I even did some painting the other morning. Nothing special just spread paint across some paper and it made my heart happy. These are a few pages from my right brain planner that I've added to my art journal. Keeping it along with my art journal insures that I see it every time I open my journal and use it some capacity. Glad this cold I've had since Christmas is finally going away. xo Alicia

It was the word that I chose out of a deck of Oracle Cards from Doreen Virtue . I'm thinking its a pretty good one too. The dictionary says it means: the thing you plan to do or achieve: an aim or a purpose . So I'm planning on having an intention behind my actions this year but I'm also going into this with an open mind, so that I don't limit myself to it's literal interpretation. Last year's word was Emerge. And I took it as getting out more, cause I was becoming a bit of a hermit. So I said yes to more outings than I had the year before, when really the word took on a much different meaning for me. Feeling and fears that I hadn't even known I was suppressing began to surface. I was able to face these feelings/fears and take them on. It took me by surprise it realize how much I had been holding myself back. So I was able to learn and grow from this. Working out also helped a stronger body emerge. I feel stronger than ever before both physically and...
