  Recently I saw t his tutorial , among others out there and decided to give it a try. I also want to try the technique used in the tutorial. That way I can create personal stencil unique to me. This is all I've done so far. It is tedious work and I need an exacto knife. I'll check in with you next week to show you my progress. Bye   xo Alicia

It feels like it's too soon for that but really its not. This is for my youngest sister. It's the Joplin Vest , I got the pattern from my Crochet Today subscription. Her favorite color is pink,there wasn't any in the yarn I was looking at, so I settled on this variegated yarn. Plus I didn't want to look too phoopie. Can you tell my model was slouching? I didn't notice till I added the photo to the blog. Oh well. I've started this sister's Christmas gift. I'm almost done. I might have to go pick up another skein of yarn though. I'll be sharing that project next week. I can't wait to start the next project! xo Alicia

  Finally the weather is getting cooler around here! Sunday is officially the first day of Fall and I can't wait. I was so happy when I was finally able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee the other evening. Also a cuppa tea. I'm off to crochet away again. See ya tomorrow. xo Alicia

  This is just the first in a few crochet projects that I'm working on for the holidays. I'm just getting started on this one. But I'm going to set it aside tomorrow to finish another project that's just about done. I was finally able to go pick up the yarn I needed to finish.   I just wanted to share the beginnings of this Short Ruana , since I completely forgot to take pictures of the Circular Vest I started last month. I will share pictures as soon as I finish the vest!   I'm loving that I finally got my Crochet/Crafting mojo back. I'm even thinking of added some things to my etsy store.   xo Alicia

  I just stitched this journal up the other day. I finished the cover a few weeks ago and recently bound my pages inside. There are still a few other touches I'd like to add to the inside. I also need to add a ribbon closure. This might just be a Christmas gift for one of my Sisters.   A little detail of my binding. I left the extra string in case the Sister wants beads added to the ends. I have a few more journals to bind. So I'll share those soon. Anybody interested in buying one? Let me know. xo Alicia

I've debated and wondered if I should even set any for myself this month. Especially since I'm not even sure I actually completed any of those goals. So let's try again. *Read the little pile of books by my bedside.    Yay! This one I've started already. I started reading Under the Dome this past weekend. *De-clutter.     I started sifting through some papers already. Lots more to go. *Finish all the projects I have started.     Some crochet stuff, journals to bind etc. *Get better organized.     There seems to be piles everywhere. *Change sleep pattern.     Some days I go to sleep way too late.
