Splendeur Caisse

This little guy was sneaking around. Honestly I've found myself feeling a little unmotivated to crochet. I did pick up the crochet and completed a few more rows but nothing significant enough to share just yet. This happens from time to time but it sucks especially when I was making such nice progress. I made two more hand bound journals since I shared the photos of the first one I made. I've just been debating with myself: should I sell them? will anybody like them? I'm still not sure :[  I have other thoughts on the brain too.  I can't wait to get started with the 30 Day Art Journal Challenge! xo Alicia

My current blanket is coming along. At first I wasn't too sure about the color combo but it's definitely grown on me. You would think that because red it my fave color that I would have loved it right away but it's the color that I was most worried about.  It's about 45 inches wide almost four feet and it says to work till it measures 60 inches. Next time, I think I'll use a bigger hook to make it a little wider. Better pictures next time :] xo Alicia

So this was last week's progress on the new blanket  I got a little further but had to stop. I ran out of the yarn I was working with. Now I need to order the yarn I need and wait for it to get here. So I've put this project aside until the yarn I need arrives. I did start another blanket. Different pattern and type of yarn Here's a peek I really like how it's turning out. I'll share more pictures of my progress next week. xo Alicia

Sunday was a nice day for me. I spent it all by myself and avoided the phone as much as possible. Than I thought it would be great to do some baking. I grabbed a box of yellow cake, added cinnamon, walnuts and a handful of chocolate chips. It was yummy! But here's the fail I thought it had cooled enough. But obviously it needed more time. I'll have to try and be patient next time. :) xo Alicia

Why you ask?  Oh, because I started a new crochet project. A blanket all for me! It's someting I've always wanted to do I just hadn't found the right pattern. Here it is in the beginning stages. Like my jammies background? IT's a simple wave pattern and I'm using Lion Brand's Jiffy yarn. So it will definitely be soft, warm and a winter blanket. I've worked more rows since I took this picture. Yay! I'm excitement! xo Alicia
